Curriculum, Teaching and Learning

Avon Valley Academy is located in the heart of Durrington and we see ourselves as a fully inclusive community school. We are here to serve students of all abilities, backgrounds, and ages from Years 7 to 11.

Our aim is to develop the young people in our care, so that they arrive as enthusiastic children in Year 7, and leave us at the end of Year 11 ready to face the world with confidence and a belief that they can go on and achieve their dreams.

Our students’ lives should be significantly enhanced by their experiences at Avon Valley.  Our goal is to ensure they go on to achieve excellence because of their time with us.
