As your child enters Year 6, we know that you will be considering the options for Year 7.  In order for your child to get a taste of life at secondary school and to make an informed choice, we would like to invite your child to our Taster Day at Avon Valley Academy.

Pupils will experience a range of exciting activities and lessons to gain a real taste of student life at Avon Valley Academy.

Arrangements

• The day will start at 8.30am and finish at 1:50pm. We ask that you make appropriate arrangements to drop off and pick up from the Academy main reception.
• Dress and equipment:
  • PE kit throughout the day
  • Pen, pencil, water bottle
• Drinks and snacks will be provided at break time, and we will provide lunch in the school canteen.

We would also like to invite parents and their children to our Year 5 open evening on Tuesday 7 July 2026 - 6pm start. 

We are really looking forward to meeting with your child and sharing this positive experience with them.
